Interview Advice

Interviews can be daunting experiences, especially if you have been out of employment for a length of time, or are changing careers after a long period in the same role. To make the experience a little easier, People Finders have compiled a series of tips which may be useful for making the best possible impression in an interview situation, at every stage of the process.

Remember that reaching the interview stage of a job application is a mark of success in itself. Your interviewer will already be interested in your skills and experience as they will have seen your CV; it is at this stage you must convince him/her that you are the best candidate for the position.

Try not to view your interview as a test. It is as much an opportunity for you to assess how compatible you are with the company, the position and your potential colleagues as it a chance for your interviewer to assess your suitability from their perspective.
